Professional Headshot Session - Katie & Burrhus

I *never* thought I’d have a post like this to share… as some of you already know, I also do pet photography here in Denver.  Well, most of my headshot shoots are strictly people – obvi.  But, for this headshot session, Katie specifically asked if she could bring along her Great Dane, Burrhus, and take a few shots of the 2 of them together for her web site and other professional postings!

Well, obviously, I was 100% game and so in love with this idea!  We met Katie + Burrhus for an outdoor session in RiNo (the River North Arts District) and had a ball… while I was snapping the standard headshots of Katie, my assistant/hubby extraordinaire, John, was entertaining Burrhus and walking him around the grassy spots (the 2 boys became instant friends! ☺️) And then, when it was time for this beautiful big boy to join his momma for some shots, we picked the most colorful + awesome murals and did some shots of the 2 of them together!

My photography worlds collided in the most fun way possible, and I’m so grateful I got to help Katie with this awesome and unique headshot session. PS: Katie is a licensed psychologist and the name Burrhus is a nod to American psychologist, Burrhus Frederic Skinner.  If you’re looking for a fun and unique headshot session, reach out and say hello!
