Frequently Asked Questions

What days and times are you available for shoots?

I shoot by appointment only, and I’m available every day of the day between the hours of 9 am and 3 pm, however, I understand that businesses have tight schedules and little time to spare, so I’m happy to accommodate specific appointment times based on your business needs.

How can I make an appointment for a shoot?

Glad you asked!  It’s super easy.  Head over to my contact form and send me a direct email or contact me via phone at 303.931.5420

Do you have a re-scheduling/cancellation policy?

You’re likely on an extremely time-sensitive and tight schedule, and sometimes things come up that throw everything out of order. Rescheduling is not a problem and fee-free. I just ask that you give me as much notice as possible so that I can adjust my schedule and accommodate other clients.

Is there a travel fee for on-location sessions?

Travel within 5 miles of the Denver-metro area will not incur any travel fees. Travel beyond that 5-mile radius will incur a $25 travel fee to your package cost, up to 30 miles each way. If you are outside of a 30-mile radius, reach out and I’d be happy to discuss your needs. I love to travel!

What is your post-session turn-around time for image files?

Each individual who was photographed will receive his/her best of the best digital images within 48 hours of the session, via an online file sharing system. Based on the package purchased, each individual will then choose his or her favorite image(s) for full retouching and send me the DSC_ number(s) via email. That individual will then receive his or her fully retouched digital image(s) within the following 48 hours depending on how many retouches are requested. I’m happy to complete any additional retouches at a rate of $20 per additional retouch.

What things do you include in your photo retouching?

The average session will include basic retouching, which is done via Photoshop and Lightroom. This will include adjusting the contrast, vibrancy, teeth whitening (if requested), blemish removal and fly-away hairs. Anything additional is not included. While I am happy to handle additional retouching requests for an additional fee depending on the requests, I may or may not be able to accommodate them. Should you require high-level enhancement of your photo/s beyond my available scope, I’ll be happy to recommend a professional retouching company for your specific needs.

How should we prepare for the headshot session?

The most important thing to do is choose the outfit(s) each person is going to be wearing for their shoot. This includes having the appropriate shoes, accessories, comb/brush, and toiletry/cosmetic tools. Most importantly, each person should get a night’s sleep, drink plenty of water and avoid salt in the days before the shoot. Finally, have your hair and make-up done in the manner which you feel most confident in, if you are doing it on your own. As for your clothing choices, I recommend avoiding tops with busy patterns. Solid, bold, colors work best. If you are unsure of what might work best, bring what you’re debating between and I’ll be happy to help you decide. While this may sound silly, ladies, should be aware of their neck line. Gentlemen, if you do not want a 5 o’clock shadow, please make sure you shave for your session. Of course, I would recommend that the company relay their specific vision for the headshots to their employees ahead of time so that everyone is on the same page. If ties are required, please advise your employees of that fact.

What if we want a custom color background for the photos? Can you do that in post-production?

Absolutely! Changing and adjusting the background color in Photo Shop (unless we already have it as a background) is included in the cost of your package.

What forms of payment do you accept and when and how should we pay you?

I accept cash, check, credit card, Venmo, and Apple Pay. The total cost of your session is due at the time of completion of your shoot(s), i.e. once all individuals in your company have been photographed.

Should you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me and I’ll be glad to answer your specific questions.
