Professional Headshot Session - Austin

What’s more unique and iconic than a downtown Denver professional headshot?  Just imagine… you are standing on the Millenium Bridge with downtown Denver behind you and the lovely natural light all around.  Studio headshots have their place in this world, but let’s not forget the equally impactful outdoor headshot.  If you are looking for something that will stand out in the sea of cookie-cutter headshots, an outdoor session might be the ticket.

That’s exactly what Austin was looking for when he reached out.  He was hoping for something downtown, and I knew just the spot.  We met on a lovely weekday morning and had Millenium Bridge – and the whole surrounding area – mostly to ourselves.  Austin nailed his shots and was thrilled with the outcome.  Austin’s shots are some of my favorites ever!

Some things to consider for an outdoor headshot session:

  • Time of year – you want to avoid really warm or hot days, because the last thing you want is to be sweating through your shoot.  On the flip side, you don’t want to be outdoors when it’s really cold.
  • Sun – if your eyes are very sensitive to sunlight, you may have trouble not squinting outdoors, which can be tricky.  Utilizing a shadier spot can help with that.  This is something you should communicate to me before your session.
  • Crowds – time of day / day of week are big factors to help avoid super busy areas, so keep that in mind.  A mid-morning weekday session like Austin’s will have less crowds around than say an afternoon weekend session.

If you are looking to get your professional headshot but want something different, let’s meet downtown and get you some killer shots!
